The backlight on my LG tv is not working. I took it apart expecting to replace a few LED’s. After testing each row of strips (6), I found one entire row (R1 and L1) is not lighting up. All other rows are good. What could be the problem and how do I fix it?

Pressing F10 or fn+F10 does not do anything. There is no option for keyboard brightness or settings in the Windows Mobility Center. I checked my BIOS and I think it's up-to-date. I am fairly new to this so I'm not 100% sure but the version is Dell Inc. 1.4.4. What other solutions would be recommended to get the keyboard backlight to work again.

Press the Fn + Spacebar keys together to turn on or off the keyboard light. Tap the Spacebar to toggle the backlight from Low, High, and Off. Alternatively, use Lenovo Vantage to manage the keyboard backlight. You should see a small diagram indicating the backlight feature on your spacebar, see the picture below.

Most common issues are: Defective capacitor on the power supply board. Defective LED in the backlight system….Repair. Replace the whole strip with a new one. Replace the LED with a new one. By-pass the LED and cross our fingers that the backlight will still be homogeneous enough.
